Baldface is one of the largest snowcat skiing and snowboarding operations in the world, set in the heart of Canada’s Selkirk Mountains, just north of Nelson, British Columbia, with over 32,000 acres of open bowls, peaks, and perfectly spaced trees receiving 500+ inches of snow annually. Guests are flown from Nelson to the backcountry village in a short helicopter flight, arriving at a full resort village that serves as the hub of activity for their stay. The terrain spans everything from scenic cruisers in open bowls to challenging steeps in the trees, and guides aim to operate at the highest safety standard while delivering a variety of fresh tracks each day. All-inclusive lodge reservations cover accommodation, guided cat skiing and snowboarding, all meals, an avalanche safety course, and emergency medical evacuation insurance. The lodge is nestled in the sub-alpine at an elevation of 6,700 feet and offers massage, sauna, yoga, gourmet food and wine, and luxury lodging including seven timber-frame chalets and a main lodge with private suites.
